TREBLE British Champion Dan Bewley is set to be one of the headline attractions in the Ryan Douglas Testimonial Meeting at Leicester.
The Belle Vue star, who also swept to glory in the British Grand Prix for the second time last year, joins an all-star line-up for the first event of the season at the Hydroscand Arena, Beaumont Park on Saturday March 22 (4pm).
Bewley was part of the Aces side who ended the Watling JCB Lions’ league title hopes in the Grand Final last autumn, and his team-mates Brady Kurtz and Jaimon Lidsey are also in the field.
Douglas said: “Dan’s progress in the sport is quite remarkable. He’ll be keen to put in a good performance, especially with other GP stars in the line-up.”
Also added to the field is popular Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen, who is also celebrating a fully deserved Testimonial next month at his home track of King’s Lynn on March 16.
Douglas will be racing in that meeting, representing his former club Wolverhampton, and he’s pleased that Iversen has been able to reciprocate.
Douglas said: “I’m delighted to have Niels riding in my meeting. He’s a rider with a lot of experience who is still performing strongly. I’m sure he’ll put in a good performance.”
